Adoptions From The Heart was founded in 1985 by Maxine Chalker, our Executive Director. AFTH is a full service, licensed non-profit adoption agency, specializing in open domestic adoption as well as international adoption. AFTH provides home study services, educational classes, and support services before, during and after adoption placement. AFTH also offers Heartbeats: Assisted Reproduction Program including an Embryo Placement Program and International Surrogacy Programs.
AFTH can assist families throughout the USA who are interested in adopting internationally through one of our available programs.
AFTH can assist families in CT, PA, NJ, DE, and VA only for our open domestic Caucasian adoption program.
Our African-American & African-American Biracial adoption program is open to families from anywhere in the USA. We find ourselves in need of families for this particular domestic program and we host a free webinar each month to increase awareness about this program.
