Overview
Japan has a tiny and considerably complicated adoption process. Those considering adoption from Japan should thoroughly research the placing-agency and process.

Children available: Typically children 4 years and older are available for adoption. Special needs children also await their forever families.

Parents Qualification: Adoptive applicants should be married couples not more than 40 years old. Must be married for at least 3 years. Exceptions are made on a case by case basis and singles may also be considered in special circumstances.

Timeline : Minimum 6 months.

Travel: Travel is required. The trip duration is usually 2 weeks.
